Zaborowski, Charles (28 FEB 1891 – 7 JAN 1968)
Funeral services for Charles Zaborowski, 76, Dorchester, who died Sunday at St.
Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, were held Wednesday at St. Louis Catholic Church,
Dorchester.
The Rev. Gerald Schuh officiated and burial was made in Meadowbrook Cemetery,
Gilman.
The Maurina Funeral Home, Dorchester, was in charge of the arrangements.
Charles Zaborowski was born at Manistee, Mich., Feb.28, 1891. His family moved
to thorp, where he received his education, and his marriage to Stella Stasko,
who survives, took place at Stanley Aug. 11, 1914.
He farmed for several years and was employed as a blacksmith in a lumber camp.
He also operated a blacksmith shop and a hardware store at Gilman in partnership
with a relative. For the past 21 years he had lived at Dorchester, where he
operated a blacksmith shop from 1946 until his retirement in 1962.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Melvin (Therese) Grewe
and Mrs. Roy (Louise) Stelzel, Dorchester, and Mrs. Marge Green, Minneapolis, 11
grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Three children and eight brothers and sisters preceded him in death.
