Colby, Carl (17 JAN 1881 – 8 JAN 1968)
A former Abbotsford businessman, Carl Colby, 86, died Monday at Memorial
Hospital, Neillsville. He had been living at Loyal with a sister, Mrs. Ray
Prior, his only survivor.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at the Myre Funeral Home in
Loyal, and burial will be made in the Loyal Cemetery.
Mr. Colby was born Jan. 17, 1881 at McHenry, Ill. He worked as a railroad
telegrapher, and then owned general merchandise stores at Spencer, Pittsville
and Abbotsford. He moved to Loyal about 30 years ago.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Abbotsford.
