Mrs. Robert Stewart is a patient at Memorial Hospital in Neillsville.
Mr. and Mrs. Otto Voie were recent visitors at the Neperud Seering home in
Scandinavia.
Mrs. Harold Horn, Mrs. Adolph Wessel, Mrs. Gust Horn, and Mrs. Ida Horn
entertained at the meeting of the Salem Aid, Tuesday, April 16, at Zion United
Church.
The annual pancake supper, sponsored by the Adult Fellowship, was held April 17,
at Immanuel United Church. Serving was from 5 to 8:30 p.m.
Mr. John Zepaltus entertained members of the Good Evening social club at a 6:30
dinner meeting at her home Wednesday evening, April 17.
The Senior Citizens will meet in the Clark Electric auditorium today (Thursday)
at 7 p.m. Hostesses will be Mrs. Dorothy Miller, Mrs. Florence Spurgeon and Mrs.
Catherine Woldhauser.
Mrs. Mary Smaldone of Maywood, Il., and Mrs. Lois Novasel of Glenwood, Il.,
spent a recent weekend here and in Neillsville. They were called by the illness
of their mother, Mrs. Margaret Smaldone, who resides in Memorial Home in
Neillsville.
St. Ann’s Society will meet in St. Mary’s auditorium today (Thursday) April 18,
at 8 p.m. Hostesses will be St. Jane’s group.
The Ladies Aid of Trinity Lutheran Church will meet at the home of Mrs. Thomas
Elmer today (Thursday), April 18, at 1:30 p.m.
Miss Judith Brux left recently with 11 other teachers in the Antigo school
system, to spend a week vacationing in Hawaii.
Miss Arlene Verhulst, who attends the University at La Crosse, and Miss Judith
Verhulst, a student at Wartburg College in Waverly, Ia., are spending their
Easter vacation at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Verhulst.
The American Legion auxiliary met recently in the Legion Hall. Election of
officers will be held. Hostesses were Mrs. Helen Behrens, Mrs. Jake Barr, Mrs.
Donald Tieman and Mrs. Don Warner.
The Youth Fellowship met recently in Immanuel United Church.
