Reinart, Martin John (13 September 1908 - 17 April 1974)
Funeral services were held Friday morning from St. Mary’s Catholic Church for
Martin John Reinart of Neillsville, who died April 17 at St. Joseph’s Hospital,
Marshfield, at the age of 65. The Rev. Charles D. Brady officiated and burial
was made in the parish cemetery. A general rosary was recited Thursday evening
at the Georgas Funeral Home, where the body of Mr. Reinart was in state.
Martin Reinart, son of the late Martin Reinart and Mrs. Daisy (Noll) (Reinart)
Hubing of Neillsville, was born September 13, 1908, at Currie, Mn, and was
educated in schools at Ladysmith. His marriage to the former Gladys Hohenstein
took place August 10, 1935, in Neillsville. Mr. Reinart, a member of St. Mary’s
Catholic Church, farmed in this area most of his lifetime.
Survivors, in addition to his wife and his mother, include eight children, Mrs.
Clayton (Kathleen) Richenbach of Merrillan, Robert Reinart and Raymond Reinart
of Rockford, Il., Kenneth Reinart of Black River Falls, Larry Reinart of Cherry
Valley, Il., Mrs. John (Mary Ann) Michalek of Evansville, Mrs. Pete (JoAnn)
Michalek of Merrillan, and Mrs. Patrick (Linda) Gaffney of Greenwood.
He is also survived by four sisters: Mrs. Alvin (Lillian) Foerster of Fond du
Lac, Mrs. Alfred (Susie Schultz of Wind Lake, Mrs. Myron (Irene) Turner of Eagle
River and Mrs. Wade (Marie) Lepke of Neillsville; seven brothers: Peter Reinart
of Merrillan, Clarence Reinart and John Reinart of Neillsville, Lawrence Reinart
of Wind Lake and William, Joseph and George Reinart of Tomah; and by 21
grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Lawrence, Clarence, William, Joseph, Peter and John Reinart.
Mrs. Glenn Short was the organist.

and Mrs. Patrick Gaffney of Greenwood; (brothers and sisters) Mr. and Mrs. Alvin
Foerster of Fond du lac, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Schultz of Wind lake, Mr. and Mrs.
Peter Reinart of Merrillan, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Reinart of Neillsville, Mr.
and Mrs. Myron Turner of Eagle River, Mr. and Mrs. Wade Lepke of Neillsville,
William Reinart and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Reinart of Tomah, Mr. and Mrs. John
Reinart of Neillsville, Lawrence Reinart of Wind Lake and Mr. and Mrs. George
Reinart of Tomah; (friends and relatives from out-of-town): Mr. and Mrs. Richard
Schultz, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Schultz, Jr., and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Schultz of
Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Verland Johnson of Tomah and Mr. and Mrs. Hank Knutson
of Merrillan.
