Behnke, Michael "Mike" D. (11 APR 1954 - 11 JUN 2011)
Michael "Mike" D. Behnke 57, Marathon, died Saturday June 11, 2011 at Aspirus
Wausau Hospital.
He was born April 11, 1954 in Milwaukee, son of Donald Behnke and Mary Ann
Handricks.
Mike was the owner and operator of Central Silo. He lived to work, loved life
and his family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, helping others and especially
spending time with his grandson.
Survivors include his sons, Scott (Amber) Behnke, Marathon, Ryan Behnke, Wausau
and Chad Behnke, Marathon; grandson, Dylan Behnke, Marathon; father and
step-mother, Donald (Ila) Behnke, Edgar; mother, Mary Ann Handricks, Marathon;
brother, Mark Behnke, Wausau; step-sister, Kim (John) Baumgart, Groton, Conn.;
significant other, Linda Reynolds, Marathon and her daughter, Cari Reynolds,
Wausau, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by an infant sister, sister-in-law, Teresa Behnke and
step-father, Michael Handricks.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday June 15, 2011 at the
Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon. The Rev. Joseph Diermeier will
officiate. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Rib Falls.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 10:00
a.m. until the time of services all at the Marathon funeral home. In lieu of
flowers a memorial has been established in Mike's name. Online condolences may
