Eriksen, Phyllis Marie (26 JUN 1923 – 15 NOV 2015)
Phyllis M. Eriksen, 92, Fond du Lac, died on Sunday, Nov. 15, 2015, at All About
Life Rehabilitation Center. A visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m., on
Friday, Nov. 20, at Holy Family Church, 271 4th Street Way, Fond du Lac, with
the Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 11 a.m. Inurnment will follow in
Calvary Cemetery.
Phyllis Marie Bauer was born on June 26, 1923, in Clark County, the daughter of
Paul and Lorene (nee Hubing) Bauer. Phyllis married Robert Ames Johnson on Dec.
1, 1942, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 18, 1981. On March 16, 1991, she
married Richard Eriksen and he preceded her in death on Dec. 26, 2011. Phyllis
worked for Wells Manufacturing, retiring in 1977. After retirement, she moved to
McAllen, Texas, and lived there until moving back to Fond du Lac in 2011. She
was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and Holy Family Parish. Phyllis was
a devoted wife, mother and loving grandmother.
She is survived by four children, Nancy (Allen) Ostdiek, Lawrence, Neb., Duane
(Mary Jo Keating) Johnson, Fond du Lac, Jerry (Linda) Johnson, Fond du Lac, and
Ronald (Judy) Johnson, Tucson, Ariz.; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren;
three siblings, Robert (Dickie) Bauer, Loyal, Doris Braun, Marshfield, and James
(Lucille) Bauer, Marshfield; two sisters-in-law, Louise Bauer, Loyal, and Judy
Mayenschein, Thorp; two step sons, Roger (Deb) Eriksen and Ron (Sharon) Eriksen,
both of St. Paul, Minn.; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; two grandchildren, Lisa
Marie Ostdiek and Jamie Schwartz; three siblings, Margaret (Bernard) Rueth,
Harvey Bauer, and Richard Bauer; one sister-in-law, Elaine Bauer; and one step
son, Richard Eriksen Jr.
