Francis F. Schweinler, publisher of the Mosinee Times, and a veteran of 33
years' service in the Reserves and National Guard, has been promoted to the rank
of Colonel in the 32nd Infantry Division, effective as of November 1, 1956. He
was assigned as executive officer of the division's artillery last October 1st.
Francis, a native of Neillsville (Clark Co., Wis.), served overseas in World War
II. His wife is the former Irene Humke, daughter of Theodore Humke of this
community (Greenwood, Clark Co., Wis.). The Schweinler's are well known here.
