Janezich, Mary (5 AUG 1888 – 11 MAR 1957)
Mrs. Anton Janezich, nee Mary Hegler, was born in Yugoslavia on Aug. 5, 1888 and
came to the United States in 1905, going to Pueblo, Colorado, where she was
united in marriage to Anton Janezich on Nov. 22, 1905. They came to the Willard
area in 1910 and settled on a farm there.
Mrs. Janezich, who has been ill for some time, passed away at her home near
Willard (Clark Co., Wis.) on Monday, March 11, 1957.
The body lay in state at the Stabnow Funeral Parlors from Tuesday evening until
Wednesday noon, when it was taken to her home. A rosary was said at the home
Wednesday evening.
A Requiem Mass was read on Thursday, March 14th at Holy Family Catholic Church,
Willard, at 9:30 a.m. The Rev. Father Augustine Svete, pastor, officiated.
Burial was made in the parish cemetery.
Mrs. Janezich is survived by her husband, eleven children, Mrs. Louis (Mary)
Koschak and Mrs. Joseph (Ella( Brence, Waukegan, Ill.; Anton Janezich, Chicago;
Mrs. Alfonse (Hedwig) Hemmersbach, Greenwood; Mrs. Gilbert (Roselyn) Geiger,
Lexington Park, Maryland; Mrs. Wayne (Albina) Helmick, Stanley Janezich and Mrs.
Howard (Valeria) Peskator, Waukegan, Ill.; Mrs. George (Dorothy) Cramer,
Dunsmuir, Calif.; Robert Janezich, Waukegan, Ill.; and Henry, at home; 18
grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters in
Yugoslavia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter and two sisters.
