Mrs. John Scheuerman, nee Edna Maude Poppe, was born in the Town of Longwood
(Clark Co., Wis.) on Dec. 30, 1894. She spent all her life in the
Greenwood-Withee area, except for nine years which were spent in Illinois.
On Oct. 29, 1913 she was united in marriage to John Scheuerman. To this union
two sons were born. She was a member of the First Congregational Church and a
member of the Ladies Aid. She has always been very active in church work.
On March 10, 1957 she became ill while attending church and was taken to the
Stanley Hospital, where she died on March 11, 1957, suffering from a heart
attack.
On March 14, funeral services were held at the First Congregation Church in
Owen, and she was laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery.
Mrs. Scheuerman is survived by her husband and two sons, Lawrence of Greenwood
and Alvin of California; 7 grandchildren; three sisters and one brother.
