Bruesewitz, Agnes (6 APR 1892 – 4 SEP 1970)
Mrs. Fred (Agnes) Bruesewitz, 78, route 1, Spencer, died at 5:15 a.m. Sept. 4,
1970 at the Marshfield Convalescent Center.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. John’s Lutheran church, North
Spencer. The Rev. David Ault officiated, and burial was made in the parish
cemetery. Pallbearers were Donald Krause, Herman Klein, Ray Klein, Walter Klein,
Gerhard Klein, and Delmar Klein. The congregation sang “Asleep in Jesus, Blessed
Sleep” and “Forever with the Lord,” accompanied by Mrs. Emil Luepke.
The former Agnes Klein was born April 6, 1892 in the town of Unity (Clark Co.,
Wis.). She was married at North Spencer, August 27, 1914, to Fred Bruesewitz,
who preceded her in death in 1960. The couple had lived near Spencer and after
the death of her husband, she made her home with a son, Donald, also of Spencer.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.
Survivors include two sons, Donald and Lester Bruesewitz, both of Spencer; eight
grandchildren; and 1 brother, Robert Klein, Park Falls.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter in infancy, and by two brothers.
