Leo Bredesen, local well driller, returned Friday from a three week trip to the
East. He was at Spartanburg, S.C., where he submitted for trial a new bit and
die which he recently invented and had patented. The Gill Bit Sharpener Company
is giving it a trial at their granite quarry before purchasing it.
Mr. Bredesen visited his son-in-law and daughter, 1st Lt. and Mrs. Ed Bundick,
at Camp Monmouth, N.J. They took Mr. Bredesen on a trip to New York, where he
saw the Statue of Liberty and many other interesting places. He also went to
Washington, D.C.
