Shannon, Jeffrey T. (6 OCT 1962 - 13 NOV 2015)

Jeffrey T. Shannon, age 53, of Colby, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 13, 2015.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 20, 2015 at Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford. Pastor Teri Hanson will officiate. Family and friends are welcome from 4:00 until 9:00 PM on Thursday, November 19 and from 12:00 noon until time of service Friday all at the funeral home.

Jeff was born on October 6, 1962, the son of Howard and Rasalyn (Zieser) Shannon in Independence, Iowa. He received his associate degree from Northcentral Technical College as a pharmaceutical technician. Jeff was united in marriage to Jessica Stevens on June 19, 2004 in Colby.

Jeff loved his family and loved farming. He loved to go four-wheeling and camping. Jeff also had a great sense of humor.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Jessica of Colby; three children: Samantha (Justin) Marsh, Rebecca Neconish and Kayla Frahmann; one granddaughter, Haizlee Joe Neconish; his mother, Rosalyn Zieser of Stratford. He is further survived by his siblings: Timothy (Nancy) Shannon, Brian (Jenny) Shannon, Peter Shannon, Maureen (Jack) Graff, and Laureen (Darrell) Underwood; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Howard and a brother, Patrick.
