Zinsli, Shirley M. (1 MAY 1930 – 1 DEC 2015)
Shirley M (Bishop) Zinsli, Age 85, left us to live with her Heavenly Father
December 1st, 2015. There will be a memorial service at United Methodist Church,
Spencer, WI on Monday December 7th, 2015 at 11:00 AM. Friends and Family are
invited to join us in celebrating her life.
Shirley was born on May 1st, 1930 to Frank and Edna (Hebert) Bishop and grew up
in the Loyal, Riplinger and Marshfield areas. She was married to her true love,
Keith M Zinsli, (Beach, ND) on October 6th, 1951 and together they had five
children, Kristy (Randy) Erdman, Steven (Marie) Zinsli, Jon (Debra) Zinsli, Lori
Zinsli, and Scott (Sue) Zinsli. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, many
great grandchildren and step great grandchildren, and her sister, Glenda Speich
of Greenwood.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the UMWC of Spencer until
the present and the Order of the Eastern Star for many years. She was a
wonderful cook and served the Church, the Lions Club and her family many great
meals.
Her hobbies were knitting, crocheting, reading on her kindle or any book she
could get her hands on. She was an excellent seamstress and made wedding
dresses, drapes, and a lot of Keith's western shirts and suits, not to mention
clothes for the family. She loved her computer and was a Facebook friend to many
and enjoyed her email.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Keith, her brothers
Merrill Bishop and Verle (Bud) Bishop and a sister Fern Schultz, a niece Amy and
a nephew Mark.
Special Thanks to the caregivers at Pine Ridge Assisted Living where Mom has
resided for the last several years. She always appreciated the little visits
during the day.
