Lindner, Arlene Jean (21 APR 1938 – 30 NOV 2015)
Arlene J. Lindner, 77, Greenwood, passed away on Monday, Nov. 30, 2015, at
Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield. Visitation will be held from 6-8
p.m., on Friday, Dec. 11, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Green-wood, and again
from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12,
at the church.
Arlene Jean Balzer was born on April 21, 1938, in West Allis, to Joseph and
Elsie Balzer. She graduated from high school in West Allis in 1956. She then
worked at Allis Chalmers in the Milwaukee unit. She moved to Greenwood and
married the love of her life, James Lindner, on June 17, 1961, at St. Mary’s
Catholic Church in Greenwood. James and Arlene farmed in Greenwood, where they
raised six children.
She was a loving mother, homemaker and farmwife. She was a member of St. Mary’s
Catholic Church and St. Ann’s Society. She had many interests, and she
especially enjoyed family, dancing, playing card sand sewing.
She is survived by her husband, Jim; six children: Steve, Eau Claire, Matt
(Sheri Slark), Greenwood, Jessica, Leesburg, Va., Patti, Eau Claire, Dave
(Lora), Greenwood, and Randy (Becky), Wausau; and nine grandchildren: Samantha,
Anna, Nolyn, Brecklyn, Graesyn, Jacob, Alyson, Alyssa, and Anthony (born Dec.
1).
