Madison – Rebecca Peroshek, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), won "A" rating and gold medal in the recent annual speech contest finals of the Wis. High School Forensics Association at the University of Wisconsin.

Sponsored by the Bureau of Information and Program Services of the UW Extension Division as one of the many public services conducted by the University for all citizens of the state, the contest attracted nearly 1,000 students from public and parochial high schools from all parts of Wisconsin. Entries qualified for the state finals by winning "A" ratings in league and district elimination contests.

A total of 527 students won "A" ratings.

Rebecca won in non-humorous declamation.
