Artac, Mr./Mrs. Mike (Gold – 5 MAY 1957)
Mr. and Mrs. Mike Artac celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary on Sunday,
May 5, 1957, with a high mass offered at Holy Family Catholic Church in Willard.
Father Augustine Svete read the special anniversary mass. The honored couple
entered the church, followed by their children and their families.
Mike Artac and Ivana Lucina were united in marriage on May 5, 1907 in the Mother
of God Catholic Church in Waukegan, Ill. The Rev. Father John Plivnek performed
the ceremony.
After the Mass a dinner was served at the Artac home to relatives and several
friends. At that time they all congratulated them and wished them many more
happy years together.
Mr. and Mrs. Artac came to the Willard (Clark Co., Wis.) community in 1911 and
are one of the Pioneer families of this community.
Mr. Artac is a member of the Holy Family Society No. 36 of the KSKJ, and Mrs.
Artac is treasurer of Mary of Help Society No. 174 of KSKJ for 14 years. The
rest of the family are also members.
The Artac's have three daughters, Mrs. Jennie Igowski, Mrs. Ernest (Emily) Haage,
Milwaukee; Mrs. Ivan (Angeline) Ruzic Sr., Greenwood; two sons, Frank Artac,
Greenwood and Ludwig Artac, Willard. There are 14 grandchildren and 4
great-grandchildren. All were present at the celebration.
