Lloyd Johnson, a former Neillsville resident, has recently been elected
president of the American Society of Civil Engineers for next year. He and his
wife, the former Theresa Hagedorn, have been living in Honolulu, Hawaii, since
August. He will represent the University of Hawaii student chapter of the ASCE
and will graduate from the university in June of 1975.
The Rev. Ronald Nordin and Mrs. Ellen Johnson represented Calvary Lutheran
Church at the Northern Wisconsin District Convention of the ALC held in Appleton
Sunday evening through Wednesday noon.
Atty. Wayne Trimberger was the guest speaker at the April 29 meeting of the
Neillsville Kiwanis Club. He spoke on the topic of wills and property ownership.
Mr. and Mrs. William Simek Jr., and sons, Douglas and Stuart, of St. Paul, Mn,
spent Friday night and Saturday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Simek Sr.
Dinner guests Saturday at the Simek home also included Mr. and Mrs. Jim Simek
and Mrs. Leonard Wachholz.
Mr. and Mrs. Glen Bush have returned home from Fullerton, Ca., where they spent
a month visiting their daughter and son-in-law and family, Dr. and Mrs. Reuben
Larson and children, Roxanne, Kirk and Michelle.
Out-of-town guests who attended the wedding of Sue Neuendorf and Russ Karl
Saturday were: Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Noak, the bride’s grandmother, and Mrs. Alvin
Kasuboski and daughter, Cheryl, of Clintonville; Mrs. Kermit Buelow and
daughter, Darla, of New London; Mr. and Mrs. John Chafee and daughters, Cindy
and Sherrill of Carol Stream, Il.; Mrs. Eugene Wickert of Brookfield; Mrs.
Evelyn Bean, Gerold Steinhaus and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Labrenz of Montello; Mrs.
Don Wilkes and daughter, Jackie, of Irvington, Al.; Mr. and Mrs. Robert
Neuendorf of West Allis; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Neuendorf and son of Lindsey; Miss
Peggy Souders, Miss Betty Pries and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Isberner of Milwaukee;
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Dalton and sons of Zion, Il.; Robert Little of Portage; and
Frances Becht and Mrs. Becht of Spencer. Weekend guests at the Harvey Neuendorf
home were Mrs. Wilkes and Jackie, who was an attendant, Miss Souders, Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Neuendorf and son, Mrs. Bean and Mr. Steinhaus.
Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Kieser attended funeral services Saturday in Abbotsford
for a family friend, Miss Shirley Holtzhausen.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schroeder of Marlinton Heights, Il., Mrs. Bernie Smet of Cary,
Il., and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Schroeder of Fridley, Mn, visited relatives and
friends here. Mrs. Smet was a houseguest of her aunt, Mrs. Marie Keller.
