Trybula, Darlene M. (Marriage - 27 April 1974)

Holy Family Catholic Church, Willard, was the setting Saturday, April 27, for the wedding of Miss Darlene M. Trybula and Randal S. Opelt. The Rev. Michael Mertens officiated at the 1 p.m. ceremony for the daughter of Mrs. Henry Trybula of Willard and the late Henry G. Trybula and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Opelt of Rt. 3 Neillsville. A reception was held at the parish center.

The bride selected a gown of satapeau and peau d’ange lace. Lace formed the high neckline and enhanced the diminutive camisole bodice. Additional lace adorned the lantern sleeves and topped the lac ruffle which encircled the demi-bell skirt and attached chapel-length veil . Her lace-edged train veil was attached to a lace bandeau caplet. She carried a cascade of pink miniature carnations and red sweetheart roses with white baby’s breath as she was presented in marriage by her uncle, Frank Trybula of Neillsville.

Miss Elaine Grajkowski of Thorp, friend of the bride, was her honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Miss Elaine Trybula, sister of the bride, and Miss Nancy Hodnett of Withee, friend of the bride.

The aides were attired in crepe gowns of orchid, Nile green and maize featuring bibbed bodices and short, pouffed sleeves. The bodices and sleeves were adorned with Cluny lace edging and the raised; empire waistlines were accented by tie sashes above A-line skirts. Their tiered veils flowed from bandeaus of lace to match their gowns. Nosegays of mums and carnations tinted to match the gowns were sparked with white baby’s breath.

Tom Opelt of Neillsville, cousin of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were David Opelt of Neillsville, brother of the groom, and Roger Trybula of Greenwood, cousin of the bride. Ushering duties were shared by Bruce Opelt of Neillsville, brother of the groom, and James Tropp a cousin of the bride of Oaklawn, Il.

Leon Gregorich of Willard, nephew of the bride, was the ringbearer and Susie Opelt, sister of the groom was the flower girl.

The bride is a 1972 graduate of Greenwood High School. Her husband attended Neillsville High School and is engaged in farming. Following a wedding trip to Minnesota, the newlyweds will live on Rt. 3 Neillsville.
