Mr. and Mrs. Brian Drake and daughter, Hayla, were Friday callers at the Russell Drake home.

Miss Johanna Blum, who spent the winter at the Havenet nursing home in Owen, has returned to the home of Mrs. Grace Giloy. Miss Blum visited her sister, Mrs. J. Wendel, in Niles, Il., during this last week.

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Grottke accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Sternitzky of Granton, and grandson, Jimmie Schlinsog of Marshfield, to Nekoosa Sunday. There they attended the confirmation of Judy Nickel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Nickel, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. All were dinner guests later at the Nickel home.

Mr. and Mrs. Martin Feuerstein spent ten days in Two Rivers where they assisted with the care of their grandchildren while their daughter, Mrs. Lorraine Noll, was hospitalized. The Feuersteins returned home Saturday.

The Deborah Circle of the united Methodist Church will not meet during the month of May.

Mr. and Mrs. Wendel Ott and Albert attended the motorcycle hill climb near Black River Falls Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Louis Seif of Wisconsin Rapids were Saturday visitors of her mother, Mrs. Arthur Imig.

Mr. and Mrs. Ole Aspen visited with William and Georgianna Schulz at Columbia Sunday afternoon and spent Monday morning in Eau Claire on business.

Sunday dinner guests of Mrs. Marie Keller were Mr. and Mrs. Francis Kipp, Jerome, Paula, Beverly and Richard of Milwaukee, and Mr. and Mrs. James Simenson and family and Harley and Casey Ott. Other callers Sunday were Miss Jan Buchegar and Dan Potter of Marshfield.

Mrs. Janet Jenni will be the guest speaker at the annual Calvary Lutheran Church Mother-Daughter banquet Monday evening, May 13. General co-chairwomen are Mrs. Corrine Witte and Mrs. Pat Tesmer.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Maegdefessel, together with Mrs. Minnie Langner of Augusta and two of Mrs. Langner’s friends had dinner at an Osseo club last Sun day in observance of Mr. Maegdefessel’s birthday.

Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Gross visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Shelton hall at Onalaska and with Miss Karen Gross, a student at the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse.

Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Kieser and sons were among those present Sunday at the home of his sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Kurt Bartz, in Merrill for a gathering in honor of the Bartz’s son, David, who was confirmed that morning at St. John’s Lutheran Church there. Others present were David’s baptismal sponsors, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Klemetson of Curtiss, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Meske, Mrs. Ruth Ann Johnson and daughter, Mrs. Fred Meske, Mr. and Mrs. G. G. Kieser and Mr. and Mrs. August Kieser of Abbotsford and Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Kieser and children of Thorp.

Mr. and Mrs. Brian Schell and family of Madison spent last Sunday and Monday at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Galetka, in observance of the Galetkas’ 24th wedding anniversary April 29.

Mr. and Mrs. Dale Guthrie of Iowa arrived Monday afternoon for a visit at the Al Vandeberg home. Sunday, the Vandebergs were among guests at the home of her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Maxine Hanson, in Marshfield for a gathering in honor of Mrs. Hanson’s son and Mrs. Vandeberg’s grandson, Jack Prochazka, who was confirmed at a Methodist church there.
