Turnquist, Mr./Mrs. Arthur (Silver – 27 JUL 1957)

On Saturday, July 27, 1957, afternoon and evening, about 150 relatives and friends helped Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Turnquist celebrate their silver wedding at their home east of Greenwood.

Supper was served to guests from tables decorated with silver candles and three wedding cakes, gifst of their son John, Mrs. Leo Olson, and Mrs. Orville Oswald and their daughter, Carol.

Arthur Turnquist and Leona Olson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Olson, were united in marriage at Trondheim Lutheran Church by the late Rev. M.K. Aaberg on July 27, 1932.

The attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Orlando Meyer, cousins, now of Cameron, and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Turnquist, brother and sister of the couple, of Greenwood. All were here for the 25th celebration.

They have 14 children and two grandchildren, all of whom were present for the occasion. They are Allen and wife and two children of Milwaukee; John Turnquist, student at St. Olaf's College, Northfield, Minn.; James, who attends State College at River Falls, Arlyn, who will enter State College at Eau Claire this fall; Alice, Carol, Robert, Dennis, Billy, Mary Lou, Eugene, Herbert, Wayne and Corrine Sue at home.

Other out of town guests were Mrs. Henry Bockowski, Chicago; Perry Pederson and son, Mr. and Mrs. Carlton Pederson and family, Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. Lester Abel, Kaukauna; Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Schwarze, Owen; Mr. and Mrs. Edward Rossow, John Klein, Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. Norman Nelson, Evelyn and Edith Nelson, Medford, and Gerry Lee Haunschild, Eau Claire.
