Oswald, Mr./Mrs. Albert (Gold – 14 AUG 1957)

Mr. and Mrs. Albert Oswald celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary on Sunday, Aug. 11, 1957, at the house of their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Oswald of Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), Route 1.

Dinner and supper were served to 120 guests from La Crosse, Sparta, Tomah, Cashton, Milwaukee, Spencer, Humbird, Medford and Greenwood. The honored couple received many congratulatory cards and gifts were presented to the couple.

Albert Oswald and Violet Gaines were married at Sparta on Aug. 14, 1907, where they lived until coming to Greenwood in 1940. Six children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Oswald, Orville and Mrs. Lawrence (Winnifred) Halbrader of Greenwood; Mrs. Eugene (Verna) Nolan of Michigan; and Mrs. Douglas (Shirley) Behrens of Loyal. One daughter, Myrtle, and one son, Warren, are deceased. They have 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
