Zinkowich, Eleanor M. (22 APR 1927 - 16 JAN 2002)
Eleanor M. Zinkowich, 74, 713 Pine Street, Athens, died Wednesday January 16,
2002 at St. Joseph Hospital Palliative Care Unit, Marshfield.
She was born April 22, 1927 in Tomahawk, daughter of the late William and Mary
(Huber) Derleth.
In 1945, in Athens, she married Louie Zinkowich. He preceded her in death in
1985.
Eleanor was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, quilting, arts and crafts. She was a
member of the VFW and American Legion Auxilliaries, Athens.
Survivors include her sons, David (Margaret) Zinkowich, Vienna, VA, Gene (Joyce)
Zinkowich, Billings, MT; daughter Betty (Ken) Jensen, Salt Lake City, UT; nine
grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers Bill and Tony
Derleth.
The funeral mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Friday January 18, 2002 at St.
Anthony Catholic Church, Athens. Rev. Charles Hiebl will preside. Burial will be
in the Parish Cemetery.
Friends may call Thursday from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer
Funeral Home, Athens and again on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of
services at the church. There will be a parish vigil service 7:00 p.m. Thursday
followed by an American Legion Auxilliary Memorial Service at the funeral home.
Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 312 Caroline Street, Athens is in charge of
arrangements.
