Guralski, John M. Jr. (18 JUN 1918 - 22 MAR 2006)
John M. Guralski, Jr. 87, Edgar, died Wednesday, March 22, 2006 under the care
of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Colonial Manor Medical and
Rehabilitation Center, Wausau.
He was born June 18, 1918 in the town of Reitbrock, son of the late John and
Margaret (Blyzinski) Guralski.
On September 26, 1940 he married Irene Knetter at Sacred Heart Catholic Church,
Cassel. She preceded him in death on September 26, 2005.
John was a dairy farmer in the town of Wein and also worked at the Edgar Packing
Plant for many years. He enjoyed shaking dice with his grandchildren, playing
sheepshead and taking a ride in his old “Red Truck”. Most of all he always
enjoyed the company of his family, especially his grandchildren and great
grandchildren.
Survivors include seven children, Glenroy (Diane) Guralski, Edgar, LeRoy (Terra
Lee) Guralski, Edgar, Jean (John) Sattler, Schofield, Gerald (Sandra) Guralski,
Wausau, Mary (Tom) Fahey, Edgar, Judy (Wayne) Novak, Stratford and Steve (Carol)
Guralski, Stratford; twenty-eight grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; and one
brother, Daniel Guralski, Manitowoc, two sisters-in-law, Jeanette Guralski,
Athens and Gertrude Guralski, Rothschild.
Besides his wife Irene and parents, he was preceded in death by four children
Michael, Louise, Elsie and Rosalie Guralski; three grandchildren Luke Guralski,
Joseph Fahey and Melinda Guralski; nine brothers, Walter, Ed, Clarence, Dave,
Albert, Leonard, Herbert, Harvey and Joseph; and four sisters, Regina, Sister
Louise, Helen, and Josephine.
The funeral mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 25, 2006 at St.
John Catholic Church, Edgar. Rev. Norman Boneck will preside. Burial will be in
the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home,
Edgar and again Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the
church. There will be a rosary service at 7:00 p.m. Friday evening at the Edgar
funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to St. John Catholic School, Edgar. Online condolences

The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the entire staff at
Colonial Manor Medical and Rehabilitation Center for their kind and
compassionate care given to John during his stay.
