West, Grace (20 NOV 1885 – 15 NOV 1957)

Mrs. Grace West was born Nov. 20, 1885 in Clark Co., Wis. and received her education here.

On Nov. 30, 1907 she was united in marriage to Andrew West. The couple lived at Christie for a number of years. After Mr. West's death, she went to Neillsville to live and since 1937 has made her home with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. (Blanche) Jake Jr.

Mrs. West, who has been in poor health for some time, passed away at Memorial Hospital, Neillsville, on Friday morning, Nov. 15, 1957.

Funeral services were held at the Georgas Funeral Home, Neillsville at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 18. Rev. Virgil Holmes, pastor of the First Methodist Church, officiated. Burial was made in the Neillsville Cemetery.

Mrs. West is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Glen (Nina) Drew, Milwaukee; Mrs. Wm. (Irene) Santas, Beloit; Mrs. Wm. (Blanche) Jake Jr., Neillsville; Mrs. Ronald (Mildred) Mac Arthur, Norwood, N.Y.; two sisters, Mrs. Olive Kelch, Rochester, N.Y.; and Mrs. Mary Sischo, Salem, Oregon.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Mrs. Reuben (Vivian) Bartelt, and two brothers.
