Fifer, William Chris Jr. (16 September 1961 - 18 December 2015)
William C. Fifer Jr., age 54 of Thorp passed away in Friday, December 18, 2015,
at his home. No services will be held, per Bill’s wishes.
William Chris Fifer Jr. was born on September 16, 1961 at Victory Memorial
Hospital in Stanley, WI, to William and Theresa (Bielecki) Fifer. He was raised
in the Thorp area and graduated from Thorp High School in 1980. After completing
his education, Bill worked at Raber’s Cheese Factory in Thorp for many years and
then later at Weather Shield in Greenwood. He was united in marriage to Sheryl
R. German on February 14, 2000, in Neillsville, WI. Bill had many interests, but
especially enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. He was a handyman who could fix
anything - anytime, and was always willing to help others when needed.
Bill is survived by his wife, Sheryl Fifer of Thorp, WI; five children: Rebecca
(Kevin) Tomaszewski of Lublin, WI, John (Shauna) Luzinski of Greenville, WI,
Glen (Melinda) Fifer of Lake Hallie, WI, Melissa Burzynski (Joe Prewict) of
Cadott, WI, and Sherry (German) Samford of Webster, TX; 11 grandchildren (with
one due in December 2015); his father, William Fifer of Greenwood, WI; one
brother, Wayne (Peggy) Fifer of Stanley, WI; four sisters: Debra Fifer of Thorp,
WI, Doreen (Dave) Koeppel of Marshfield, WI, Kathy (Mike) Campbell of Ohio, and
Karen Fifer (Rick) of Auburndale, WI; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many
friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Theresa M. Fifer.
