Corning, Yvonne (9 NOV 1957)
A double ring ceremony performed at 2:00 p.m. at the Methodist Parsonage in
Evansville, united in marriage, Yvonne Corning, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Delbert
Zwickey of Evansville, to Alfred A. Marvin, son of Mrs. William Marvin of
Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.). Rev. john L. Walker officiated.
The bride wore a sheath dress of medium blue Celanese with a lighter blue
chiffon trim and loose side panels, and wore a blue velvet Cloche hat and silver
accessories. Her corsage was a single white orchid with a blue center.
Mrs. Allen Wilkins, the bride's sister, as matron of honor, wore light blue
Chromespun acetate fashioned with a full skirt, a white hat and white
accessories. Miss Darlene Vine, cousin of the groom, wore pink Chromespun
acetate, pink satin hat and white accessories. Both had corsages of yellow
roses.
Kenneth Marvin served his brother as best man, and Allen Wilkins, as groomsman.
All wore dark blue suits.
Mrs. Zwickey wore black with white accessories and hate, and Mrs. Marvin was
attired in blue with black hat and accessories. Both mothers wore corsages of
red roses.
Robert Erstad sang "I Love You Truly" and "Because," accompanied by Mrs. C.
Hazlett at the piano.
A reception was held in the Social room of the Methodist Church. Ladies of the
W.S.C.S. served. In the evening a wedding party was held at Union.
The young couple will make their home at 123 North First Street, Evansville,
Wis.
