Mrs. Pacifico Camarin, Mrs. Donald Noeldner and Mrs. Emma Hium of Immanuel
United Church attended the Northwest United Church workmen’s workshop held at
the United Church in Colby Tuesday.
Martin Kirn is a patient in Memorial Hospital in Neillsville.
Mrs. Joe Jeras of Lyon, Il., and Mr. and Mrs. Matt Dergance and family of
Hillside, Il., spent from Monday until Wednesday at the Joseph Verschay and Joe
Tolaney, Sr., homes.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Telford and daughters of Eau Claire visited Sunday at the home
of her mother, Mrs. Don Warner.
Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Abel spent from Monday until Wednesday in Green Bay at the
home of their daughter, Mrs. Dan Priewe, and family.
Mr and Mrs. Charles Perko of Lac du Flambeau visited Sunday at the home of his
sister. Mrs. Mary Landini.
Mr. and Mrs. John Jakobi returned Wednesday evening after spending five days in
Milwaukee with their sons, Gerald and Harry Jakobi and their families.
Mrs. Dale Jollivette and Mrs. Don Warner spent Tuesday in Eau Claire, where they
attended a conference of American Lutheran women.
Mrs. Anna Rossman and Mrs. Effie Swieso visited Tuesday at the nursing home in
Thorp.
Mrs. Oscar Meinholdt is a patient at Memorial Hospital in Neillsville.
Mr and Mrs. Dickie Lee Warner of Milwaukee visited Thursday with his
grandmother, Mrs. Don Warner. They were enroute to visit his parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Harold Warner, in Chetek. Dickie Lee attends Marquette University.
The 75th birthday of Arthur Brick and the 80th birthday of Carl Wetzel, which
occurred April 28 and 29, respectively, were celebrated recently at the Clark
County Home for the Aged, where both reside.
Mrs. Henry Horn has been readmitted to a Marshfield hospital.
Mrs. Effie Swieso accompanied her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard
Thiede and daughter, Roxanne, and Mrs. Margaret Lowe of Marshfield, to St. Paul
recently for a weekend visit at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Thiede. James the
son of Leonard Thiede’s was the preacher at series held at the Evangelical
Lutheran Church in St. Paul.
Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Sowieja attended the wedding of their niece, Cindy Vesel and
Norman Christenson, recently at Milwaukee. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Bernard Vesel of Port Washington, former Greenwood residents.
Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Brux were attendants at the wedding of her brother, Herbert
Belisle, and Ethel Rowin, Satruday in Madison. Mr. and Mrs. Brux spent the
weekend at the home of their daughter, Mrs. John Horton, and family in Madison.
Mr. and Mrs. Randall Schoonover and daughters of Monrovia, Md., spent the
weekend at the homes of her uncles, Erwin and Delmar Toburen, and with her
grandmother, Mrs. Anna Toburen at the Memorial Home in Neillsville.
Relatives and friends were entertained Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James
Turnquist in honor of his birthday. Among the guests were her uncle and aunt,
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Drew of Viroqua.
Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Humke were Mr. and Mrs. Ed Fravert of
Spencer.
Mrs. Ed Pszneczny was to be hostess to the Oakland Homemakers Club at her home
Wednesday evening. Mrs. Kathern Lato and Mrs. George Lobacz were to present the
lesson.
Mr and Mrs. Eugene Carteron, Mrs. John Kaltinger, and Mrs. Leona Syth visited in
Eau Claire Sunday with Mrs. Anton (Margaret) Lindner at the Syverson Nursing
Home.
Mrs. Louise Ellingson has returned after spending three weeks with her sons,
Donald and family at La Crosse, and Romaine and Everett Ellingson and their
families in Madison.
Mrs. Adolph Jackson was readmitted Friday at Memorial Hospital in Neillsville.
Mr. and Mrs. Duane Horn of La Crosse and Mrs. Ronald Hall of West Bend, spent
the weekend with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Horn and on Saturday
attended the funeral of their cousin, Jerome Horn.
Mr. and Mrs. Wally Hribar, Jr., Miss Ruth Verhulst and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence
Verhulst were Sunday supper guests at the Kenneth Verhulst home in Marshfield.
Palmer Nelson of Scandinavia and his sister, Mrs. Effie Ristow of Amherst were
Wednesday dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Voie.
