Grambort, Malena (18 SEP 1891 – 22 DEC 1968)
Miss Malena Grambort, 77, who at one time operated a millinery shop at Colby,
died Sunday afternoon, Dec. 22, 1968, at Bethany Methodist Hospital in Chicago.
Services were held at the Lulloff Funeral Home in Colby on Friday, Dec. 27, at
1:30 p.m. with the Rev. David Pankow officiating. Burial was made in the Colby
Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers were James Grambort, Ronald Grambort, Everett Grambort, Harold
Christensen, John Miller and Edwin Pruesner.
Miss Grambort was born in the town of Colby in Clark County on Sept. 18, 1891.
She received her education in Colby area schools, and then opened a millinery
store in Colby. She later operated a millinery business in Chicago, retiring in
1962. She had been in ill health since that time.
Miss Grambort was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Chicago.
Surviving are four brothers and three sisters, Fred Grambort of Chicago, Everett
Grambort of Kalamazoo, Mich., Edwin Grambort of Abbotsford, Hubert Grambort of
Ashland; Mrs. Edmund (Tori?) Doyl of Chicago; Edna Grambort of San Francisco and
Mrs. Lester (Doris) Guetshow of Stevens Point.
Preceding her in death were two brothers and a sister.
