Mr. and Mrs. Henry Farning and Donald were Christmas Day guests at Wis. Rapids at the home of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Crook, and two daughters.

Eugene Busse of Hinsdale, Ill., came the Sunday before Christmas and stayed until the day after with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Busse. Christmas Day, the Busse family was together at the home of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. George Zahrt, and family at Ringle. Mr. and Mrs. John Busse Jr. of Clintonville were also there.

Airman Apprentice Dennis Langteau arrived Dec. 21 from Memphis, Tenn., and will report back there January 5. Other Christmas Day guests at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Art Langteau, were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mengel and family of Withee, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Broeske and family of Dorchester, Mrs. John Knoll and Mrs. Bernice Lynch of Green Vista, and Harold Shepard of Los Angeles, who is spending the winter at the home of his niece, Mrs. Langteau.

Airman First Class Frank Brodhagen of Offut AFB, Omaha, Neb., arrived December 21 to spend a Christmas leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Brodhagen and family. He will leave again Dec. 30.

Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Olson spent Thursday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Busse.

Martin Hackel, who attends the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, arrived December 22 to spend the Christmas vacation with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Hackel.

George Vetter was admitted to St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, Christmas Eve, for tests and diagnosis. He was dismissed Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. Russell Mattson, sons, Bob and David and his three sons, and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Mattson, all of Ogema, and Mr. and Mrs. R.J. Janda were Christmas Day guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Janda and family.

The family of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Kattre were home for the Christmas vacation. They have two sons attending college, Clayton at Wis. State University at Eau Claire, and Rodney at the Wausau Technical Institute.

Mr. and Mrs. Jack Armstrong and two children of Park Falls and Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Armstrong and two daughters of Madison spent Christmas Eve with their mother, Mrs. Donald Armstrong, and grandmother, Mrs. Tony Armstrong. They all spent Christmas Day at the Fred Mantik home at Wausau.

Mr. and Mrs. Heinz Fischer and daughter of Bretel, Wis., came December 24 to spend Christmas with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Fischer and Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Denzin, Milan. Mr. Fischer returned the day after Christmas and Mrs. Fischer and daughter stayed for the week.

Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Wiedenhoeft and family of Stevens Point spent Christmas with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Schmirler.

Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Kramer drove to Cornell the Sunday before Christmas to get his aunt, Miss Lelah Le Claire, who is staying over the holidays. On Christmas Day, they were all guests at the Walter Hopperdietzel home. John Hopperdietzel, who was a guest in Marshfield on Christmas Day, accompanied by Miss Joyce Craft of Marshfield, spent the evening with the family group.

Miss Mary Bumann, Milwaukee, came Tuesday to spend Christmas with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Bumann. When she left Thursday morning, she was accompanied by Mrs. Robert Dorn. They planned to return here later in the week. Marc and Michelle Dorn stayed with their maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hopperdietzel.

Mrs. Clarence Rankl, Mrs. Oscar Koffarnus and Mrs. George Scheibe visited their aunt, Mrs. Elsie Ellingson at Medford Thursday.

Miss Vicki Gierl, who attends Stout State University, Menomonie, and Paul Klinkhammer, who attends the University of Wisconsin, Madison, are spending the Christmas vacation at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Klinkhammer. Peter Gierl came from Seattle, Wash., the Friday before Christmas and will make an indefinite stay here.

Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Rankl and Guy were dinner guests Monday evening before Christmas at the home of Mrs. Ruth Schwantes at Spencer. Mrs. Schwantes and John Karau were dinner guests on Thursday at the Rankl home.

Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Swienton and family spent Christmas with relatives at Ladysmith.
