Miss Mary Becker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Becker, Colby, was untied in
marriage to Russell Krueger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Krueger, Colby,
Saturday, December 28, 1968, at 1 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Colby. The
Rev. James Stauber officiated at the ceremony.
The bride was attired in a gown of Chantilly lace with long sleeves and a
Sabrina neckline. The gown had a bouffant peau skirt styled with tiers of lace
in front and a chapel train attached at the waist. The veil was a three tier
bouffant of peau and Chantilly lace, with petals trimmed with sequins and
pearls. She carried a cascade bouquet of red roses.
The bride’s attendants were Mrs. Renee Brown, matron of honor, Sheboygan; Mrs.
Connie Krueger, Milwaukee, Mrs. Judy Becker, Colby, and Cathy Becker, Colby.
The best man was Harry Langjahr of Unity, and ushers were Gene Krueger,
Milwaukee, John Becker, Colby, and Lyle Krueger, Unity.
The bride’s attendants wore empire gowns of red velvet with bell sleeves and
white fur trimmed necklines. They wore white fur pillbox hats and carried white
muffs with a poinsettia in the center.
The soloist for the occasion was Mrs. Faith Caskey, who sang “Panis Angelicus,”
“Jesu Bambino” and “The Snow Lay on the Ground.”
Festivities of the day included reception at the Unity Hall, and a dinner at St.
Mary’s Gym, and a dance at the Dorchester Hall.
The bride is a registered nurse and the groom farms in Unity, their future place
of residence.
