Gierl, George Edward (6 DEC 1890- 14 JAN 1969)

George Edward Gierl, 78, Abbotsford, died Tuesday, January 14, 1969 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield.

Services were held Friday, January 17 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. The Rev. John Olson officiated and burial was made in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were made by Lulloff Funeral Home.

Mr. Gierl was born in Colby December 6, 1890. He received his education in the Colby schools. He never married. He lived his entire life on a farm in the townof Hull, until his retirement about 10 years ago. He then spent eight years in Minneapolis with a niece, Mrs. Keith Zimmerman, and the last two years in Abbotsford with his sister-in-law, Mrs. Bernard Klinkhammer.

Surviving Mr. Gierl is one sister, Mrs. Hugo Dhien (Anna) of Clintonville.

Pallbearers were Peter, Morris, Edward and Floyd Gierl, Keith Zimmerman and Bill Hackel.
