The Canasta Club was entertained Friday evening at the home of Mrs. Helen
Behrens at a 6:30 dinner meeting.
Oscar Woepse returned to Neptune, N.J., Sunday after spending a week with his
sisters, Mrs. Gust Horn, Mrs. Henry Horn and Mrs. George Kuester, and their
families.
Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Schmidt of Cleveland attended the funeral of Jerome Horn and
visited his mother, Mrs. Henry Horn, in the hospital in Marshfield.
The Oakland Homemakers met Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs. Ed Pszeneczy.
Mrs. John Lobacz presided. The group discussed tentative plans for observing
“Father’s Day.” The project lesson on sewing was given by Mrs. Joe Troney. The
next meeting will be held June 11 at the home of Mrs. John Lobacz.
Mrs. Vincent Sowieja returned Thursday after spending a few days in Owen at the
home of her son, James, who is a patient at a hospital in Marshfield.
Melvin Myrin arrived Wednesday from Ironwood, Mi., for a visit with his sisters,
Mrs. Hubert Horn and Mrs. Theodore Braun, and their families.
Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Molle of Unity, Mrs. Leida Kurtzbeim and Miss Angela
Severson of Milwaukee were guests Thursday at the home of their brother and
sister-in-law, Mr and Mrs. Hugh Severson.
