Allmann, Lawrence (28 JUL 1908 – 3 FEB 1969)

Lawrence Allman, 60, water superintendent and street commissioner for Colby, died unexpectedly Monday afternoon, February 3, 1969, at his home.

Services will be held today, February 6, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Colby, and the Rev. John Pinion will officiate. Burial will be made in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

The Lulloff Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral arrangements/

Mr. Allmann was born in Colby July 28, 1908, and married Marie Lechner at Galena, Ill. June 7, 1937. He lived his entire life in Colby. He worked for the city of Colby as water superintendent and street commissioner for 27 years. Before that he worked on road construction.

Survivors, besides his wife, include seven children, Larry of Fort Bliss, Texas, Donna (Mrs. William Jeske) of Independence, Nancy (Mrs. Jerry Leameister) of Vallejo, Calif., Russell of Edgar, Sandy of Tomahawk, Susan of Medford, and Jimmy, at home; seven grandchildren; three sisters, Hazel (Mrs. Morris Morgan) of Fond du Lac, Winona (Mrs. Merle Cosgrove) of Faribault, Minn., and Loretta (Mrs. Thorvald Nelson) of Marshfield; and three brothers, Edward of Colby, Charles of Libertyville, Ill., and Gerald of Wauconda, Ill.
