Lewis, Marcia Kay (4 October 1957 - 11 January 2016)

Marcia Lewis, 58, of Neillsville died Monday, Jan. 11, 2016, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.

Marsha Kay Lewis was born Oct. 4, 1957, in Neillsville, the daughter of Edward and Nancy (Holt) Tresemer. She graduated from Neillsville High School in 1975, and June 17, 1978, was united in marriage to David A. Lewis. They then lived in Norfolk, VA, for a short time, while David finished his service in the United States Navy. In 1979, they moved back to Neillsville, and Marcia raised her family, all the while, working part-time jobs. When her family had grown up, Marcia went to work for Dr. Tim Harvey’s office; and then in 1995, she began working at the Memorial Medical Center (MMC) in Neillsville as a receptionist and then later in the insurance claims department. She worked at the hospital until 2009. Shortly thereafter, she took a job at Hansen’s IGA and became night manager. She retired due to her health in September of 2015.

Marcia was a member of the United Methodist Church in Neillsville. She was a member of the MMC Partners and a past member of the Neillsville Optimist Club. In her leisure time, she enjoyed crafts, reading and traveling and motorcycling with her husband. Marcia’s family came first in her life. She loved spending time with all her family but especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by two children: Pam (Scott) Sill of Holmen and Joshua (Amy) Lewis of Neillsville; six grandchildren: Kaitlin, Tayler, Alexis, Makayla, Benjamin and Landon; her parents, Ed and Nancy Tresemer of Neillsville; and three siblings: Judy (Dennis) Buchholz of Neillsville, Diane (Tom) Firnstahl of Colby and Tim (Lori) Tresemer of Neillsville. She is further survived by two brothers-in-law, Todd (Sue) Lewis of Granton and Brad (Bernie) Lewis of Neillsville; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David, in 2005; her grandparents; an infant nephew, Kurtis; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Darol and Margaret Lewis; and a brother-in-law, Glen Lewis.

A memorial service for Marcia was held at 11 a.m. Friday Jan. 15, 2016, at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville, with visitation from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Pastor Joe Weiers officiated.
