Steinwand, Herbert (9 JAN 1904 – 17 FEB 1969)
Herbert Steinwand, 65, executive vice-president of the Security State Bank,
Colby, died Monday evening, February 17, 1969, at St. Joseph’s Hospital,
Marshfield.
Services will be held today, Thursday, February 20, at 2 p.m. at St. Mary’s
Catholic Church in Colby. The Rev. John B. Pinion will officiate and burial will
be made in St. Mary’s Parish Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were made by Lulloff Funeral Home.
Mr. Steinwand was born in the township of Colby (Clark Co., Wis.), January 9,
1904. On October 10, 1932 he married Margaret Will at St. Mary’s Church in
Colby. He received his education from the Colby school snad also Stevens Point
Teachers College.
He spent his entire adult life in connection with the Security State Bank of
Colby. He started as an assistant cashier, was promoted to a cashier and became
executive vice-president when Security and Colby State Bank merged in 1966. He
has also been a director of the midland Union Mutual of Juneau.
Survivors, besides his wife, include two daughters, Ann (Mrs. Kenneth Pasholk),
of Merrill, and Sandra (Mrs. Halver Becken) of Milwaukee; eight grandchildren
and one sister, Laura Steinvwand of Colby.
A general rosary for Mr. Steinwand was said at St. Mary’s Catholic Church
Wednesday at 7:45 p.m.
