Jarocki, Mary K. (31 AUG 1914 – 8 FEB 1969)
Mary K. Jarocki, 54, Abbotsford, died at Havenet Nursing Home at Owen (Clark
Co., Wis.), February 8, 1969, at 1:30 p.m.
Funeral services were held Thursday, February 11, at St. Bernard’s Catholic
Church, Abbotsford and burial was made in the Riverside Cemetery at Withee. The
Rev. Emil Hodnik officiated.
Funeral arrangements were made by the Polnaszek Funeral Home.
Mary Brezezinski was born in Thorp, August 31, 1914, and she married Walter
Jarocki at Thorp April 24, 1936. Following their marriage they lived in Chicago,
and then moved to Thorp, where they operated a tavern. They moved to Abbotsford
in 1945, where they owned the Farmer’s Home Taver, and also several other
taverns in the area. She also owned and operated the Abbotsford Clothing Store
until 1960.
Mrs. Jarocki was a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church and altar society.
Survivors, besides her husband, include two sons, Lawrence of Owen, and Arthur
of Menasha; two grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Stanley (Bessie) Bielike,
Mrs. Frank (Stella) Klick, both of Thorp, and Mrs. Gordon (Wally) Spiece of the
state of Washington; two brothers, William Brezezinski of Greenwood and Walter
of Thorp.
Pallbearers were Rueben Schmidt, Dave Motelet, Robert Bagaar, Jack Nikolay,
Norman Lukas and Bill Fahrenbach.
