Wedeking, Fred (25 APR 1892 – 14 FEB 1969)
Funeral services for Fred Wedeking, 76, a former Abbotsford resident, who died
at St. Joseph’s Hospital, February 14, 1969 were held the following Monday. The
Rev. Lillian Jensen of the Christian Assembly of God Church conducted the
services at the Polnaszek Funeral home, Abbotsford, after which interment was
made in the Abbotsford Cemetery.
The pallbearers were his only surviving brother, William P. Wedeking of Chelsea,
Al Holtzhausen, Ned Sterling, Ben Laabs, Fred Ridderbusch and Orville Lieders
Sr., all of Abbotsford.
Mr. Wedeking was born April 25, 1892 at Tobias, Nebraska, and came to Abbotsford
at an early age. He received his education in the Abbotsford public schools and
spent most of his life at Abbotsford. He was employed as a mail carrier for many
years.
The past five years he resided at the Home for the Aged at Greenwood.
He was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.
