Hargraves, Wilbert W. (21 MAR 1911 – 25 FEB 1969)
Wilbert W. Hargraves, 57, Abbotsford, died at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield,
Tuesday, February 25, 1969, at 6:30 a.m. Funeral services will be held Friday,
February 28 at 1:30 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church at Abbotsford. Burial
will be made in the Milan Cemetery and the Rev. Charles Glidden will officiate.
Funeral arrangements are being made by the Polnaszek Funeral Home..
Mr. Hargraves was born March 21, 1911 in the town of Holton, Marathon Co., Wis..
He married Helen Hrobsky, who preceded him in death in 1954. In 1955 he married
Mrs. Dorothy Denzine.
He received his education in Athens and the Wausau Normal School and taught in
the town of Franklin. He was also manager of the Athens Co-op Feed Mill at Milan
for 25 years. He was a past member of the Abbotsford School Board, a member of
the First Presbyterian Church at Abbotsford, the Masonic Lodge and the Eastern
Star.
Survivors, besides his wife, include seven children: Ronald of Elgin, Patricia
and Douglas of Wausau, Josephine at home, Sgt. Randolph of North Dakota and
Charlene and Darlene of Wausau; four grandchildren; two brothers, Klenka of
Athens and Woodrow of Mosinee, and one sister, Mrs. George (Martha) Kopecky of
San Pedro, Calif.
