Atcherson, June (15 FEB 1969)
Miss June Atcherson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Atcherson of Unity, and
Melvin Kloehn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Kloehn, also of Unity, were united in
marriage Saturday, February 15, 1969 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Colby.
Father Olson officiated at the 1 p.m. services.
Bridesmaids were Miss Joyce Atcherson, the bride’s sister, Miss Kathleen Kloehn,
a sister of the groom, and Miss Susan Hein, a cousin of the bride.
The bride wore a floor length white lace dress and a four tier veil. She carried
a bouquet of red and white roses with lilies of the valley.
The bride’s attendants wore red velvet floor length dresses and carried bouquets
of red roses with white carnations.
Festivities of the day included a reception at St. Mary’s school gym and a
dinner at 4 p.m. at the Colby Methodist Church. A wedding dance concluded the
day.
The bride was formerly employed at Riplinger Dairy and the groom is engaged in
farming. The couple are now living in a mobile home at route 1, Unity.
