Gordon, Darlene (Bartelt) (29 MAY 1939 - 25 JAN 2016)
Darlene Gordon, age 76, died Monday January 25, 2016 at Golden Living Center in
Abbotsford surrounded by family and under the care of Asera Care Hospice.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am on Saturday January 30, 2016 at Immanuel
Lutheran Church, 420 Lincoln St., Medford, WI 54451 with Pastor James Krueger
officiating. Visitation will be from 9am until the time of service at the
church.
She was born May 29, 1939, in the city of Medford, to George and Bertha (Klein)
Bartelt.
Darlene was a graduate of Rib Lake High School. She married in 1959, moved to
the Milwaukee area, and later divorced.
She had several different occupations, but was most proud of the in home daycare
she ran for more than 20 years. Besides children, she enjoyed country music,
sewing, playing cards, making crafts and spending time with family.
Her surviving children are Ronald (Tammie) Gordon of Oak Creek, Kitty (Fred)
Ebert of Medford, daughter in law Susan Gordon of Jacksonville, FL., 7 grand
children and 7 great grand children.
Also surviving are her siblings, Melvin Bartelt of Sussex, Harold Bartelt of
Medford, Kenneth (Doris) Bartelt of Rib Lake, Bernard (Bernice) Bartelt of New
Berlin, brother in law John Klimeck of Medford.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Dean Gordon, brother Donald
Bartelt, sisters Ethel Klimeck and Phyllis Bartelt, sister in laws Mary and
Francis Bartelt.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Darlene’s family to be donated to
Diabetes and Alzheimers research.
