James D. Massie passed away suddenly on January 25, 2016 in Medford, WI.
A memorial service will be held February 5, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Maurina-Schilling
Funeral Home in Owen, WI. Friends and Family are welcome 1 PM until the time of
the service on Friday February 5 for a visitation.
James is the son of Gordon and Catherine (Flaggler) Massie, born in Whitewater,
WI.
On December 20, 1969 James married Linda Hickey in Sturtevant, WI. James worked
for Chrysler Motors in Kenosha for 30 years, and retired in 1988. In 1997 James
and Linda moved to Lublin, where they reside today.
James had many interests including fishing and hunting with his children and
grandchildren, traveling with his wife, playing bingo and slot machines, and
camping with the Quarter Barrel Campers. James also enjoyed sitting and watching
nature from his front porch. He was a avid Packer fan never missed a game.
James is leaving behind his loving wife of 46 years: Linda; five children: Kevin
(Deb) Massie of Burlington, Jackie Lopez of Kenosha, Brian (Connie) Massie of
Kenosha, Christopher (Jodi) Massie of Salem, and Wendy Massie of Owen, 13
grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a mother-in-law; Marge Massie.
He is further survived by 6 brothers and sisters, and many nieces and nephews.
He will be missed dearly.
James is preceded in death by his daughter: Theresa and Son: Brett; his parents,
three brothers: Rick, Steven, and Ray; a sister: Cindy Massie, Father-in-law and
mother-in-law, James and Odetta Hickey.
The family would like to thank the Gilman Ambulance and the Lublin First
Responders for their compassionate assistance with James.
