About 50 people attended the graduation party for Arlene Debevec, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Debevec from the Greenwood High School. The party was held
at her parents’ home. A special cake centered the table made by her mother and
decorated for the occasion. Lunch and refreshments were served. A social evening
was spent along with visiting.
About 50 people consisting of teachers, pupils, parents, and drivers were at
Wisconsin Dells last Thursday on a sightseeing tour through the Dells. On
Tuesday the Day Development Center from the Willard School will have their
school picnic. All of the people were from the Day Development Center.
Larry Krainz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Valentine Krainz graduated from the Indian
Technical Institute last week at Rice Lake. Larry Krainz won a scholarship from
the United Building Center for his second year 1974-75 as student of Art
cultural commercial design, at Rice Lake Indian Technical Institute.
Mr. and Mrs. Allen Harbort, Jr., and family of Elm Grove were weekend visitors
here with Mr. and Mrs. Valentine Krainz and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Horvat and family attended last week the graduation exercises
of their daughter, LaVonne Horvat, at the technical school at Eau Claire.
Mr. John Hribar, Chicago, Il., was here at his summer cottage at Rock Dam over
the weekend.
Louis Hribar of Chicago, Il., visited with his mother, Mrs. Mary Hribar.
A graduation party was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Halbrader on
Monday for John Frick and Emery Gleason. Friends and relatives attended.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bastian and family attended the graduation party for Arlene
Debevec on Friday night and on Saturday the graduation party for Michael Fox at
the John Fox home.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Krapf, Jr., and family of Hales Corners spent the weekend
here with Mr. and Mrs. Charles Krapf, Sr.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Brezonik and Frank, Jr., of Elm Grove spent some time here at
their summer home.
Richard A. Bayuk C.P.P.S. of Willard was ordained a deacon for the society of
the Precious Blood Seminary in Liberty, Missouri on Saturday, April 27. He is
the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Bayuk, members of the Holy Family Parish in
Willard. After attending Willard grade school he entered holy Cross Seminary
High School and College and was graduated in 1969 from St. John’s University in
Collegeville, Mn. he is presently completing his third year of theological
studies at St. John’s This summer and fall he will be serving as a deacon at
Sacred Heart parish in Miami, Oklahoma, after which he will return to St. John’s
for a final semester before ordination to the priesthood in spring 1975.
