Brotherton, Richard (28 JUN 1888 – 5 MAR 1969)
Richard Brotherton, 80, of Manitowoc, formerly of Colby, died Wednesday morning,
March 5, 1969, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 7, at Pfeffer Funeral
Home, and burial was made in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. The Rev. Donald T.
Stannard officiated.
Mr. Brotherton was born June 28, 1888, at Colby. He married Tillie Allan June
28, 1916 at Colby, and then moved to Manitowoc where they resided since.
Before retirement in 1957, Mr. Brotherton had been employed at Manitowoc Ship
building Inc. for a period of 40 years. He was a member of the Boilermaker’s
local 443 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Airie 706.
Survivors, besides his wife, include nieces and nephews.
