Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Fero visited with Mr. and Mrs. Emil Pikel in Reedsburg last
Sunday and also visited one evening recently with Mr. and Mrs. Louis Riedel.
The Ladies Aid Society of Zion Lutheran Church is to meet Wednesday, June 5, at
2 p.m. at the church. Mrs. Leland Reich and Mrs. Vernon Schumacher will be
hostesses.
Mr. and Mrs. William Lehmann visited over the Memorial Day weekend with her
sister, Mrs. Fred Timm, at Tomahawk. Saturday, they attended the wedding of Miss
Marilyn Thiede, daugher of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Thiede, in Tomahawk.
Mr. and Mrs. Pete Montgomery of Phillips visited last Wednesday with Roland
Quicker. Mr. and Mrs. Otto Holnbach visited with Mr. Quicker Wednesday evening.
Mrs. Rawleigh Smith of Altoona, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wellman of Rock Island, Il.,
and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Nielsen of Eau Claire called in Granton Saturday.
Mrs. Garfield Freeberg of Eau Claire visited with her mother, Mrs. Van Kayser,
Monday.
Mr and Mrs. Lee Garbisch and David spent the weekend camping and fishing near
Cumberland. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Marshall and son, Ben, of Neillsville also took
part in the camping weekend.
Mrs. Emil Schoenfeld, Mrs. Otto Schmidtke and granddaughter, Kerry Schmidtke of
Stratford, and Mrs. William Schmidtke went out to eat at Loyal Sunday.
The Samson Memorial Library board meeting was held May 22 at the library. Mrs.
Alvin Hanson, president, reported on progress made with the new allotment for
books and equipment.
The LWML society of Zion Lutheran Church met last Wednesday evening with Pat
Anding as hostess.
