Donahue, Rita J. (7 August 1934 - 19 January 2016)

Rita J. Donahue, 81, died Jan. 19, 2016, at home in Neillsville. She was born Aug. 7, 1934, in East Orange, NJ and was raised by William and Ruth Borger of Keansburg, NJ. Rita graduated from Middletown Township High School. She was united in marriage to Frank E. (Ed) Donahue Sept. 6, 1953.

She raised four children, Rita J. (John) Patey, William F. Donahue, John M. Donahue (Sherri Grap) and Frank E, Donahue (Meredith Dorwaldt). Rita also leaves 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Rita was an avid pool player, a master gardener and a dedicated member of the Red Hat Ladies. She was a wonderful wife, 62 years, a mother, 61 years, and grandmother. She will be deeply missed by family and friends.

A celebration of Rita’s life will be held Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016, from 12 noon until 5 p.m., at the Neillsville American Legion. Everyone is welcome.
