Halvorson, Joshua Gene (2 August 1973 - 25 December 2015)
Joshua Gene Halvorson, 42, of Humbird died Friday, Dec. 25, 2015, at his home.
Joshua was born Aug. 2, 1973, in Neillsville to Gwyn and Nickie (Gerber)
Halvorson. In 1992, he graduated from Lincoln high School in Alma Center.
Following high school, he worked for Neumann Company painting water towers
throughout the U. S. He became an over-the-road driver for several years,
working for Hi-Tech Express and other trucking firms. After leaving trucking, he
worked for Flying J Truck stop as a wash bay attendant and until recently, he
was employed by Nelson Global products in Black River Falls.
Joshua enjoyed reading, movies and listening to audio books while he was on the
road. He loved to grill out, and he will always be remembered for his sense of
humor.
Joshua is survived by his parents, Gwyn and Nickie of Humbird; brothers, Shawn (Arlys)
Halvorson of new Virginia, IA, and Logan (Normandy) Halvorson of Indianapolis,
IN; one niece, Aurelia Halvorson; grandmother, Gladys Springer of Pleasantville
and Patricia Gerber of Humbird.
Joshua was preceded in death by his grandfathers,: Clarence Halvorson and Walter
Gerber. He was also preceded in death by two uncles: Steve and Elroy Halvorson.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015, at Jensen-Modjeski
Funeral home in Hixton. Rev. Terry Marg will be officiating. Burial will follow
in the Mentor Cemetery in rural Humbird. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the
time of services at the funeral home Wednesday.
