Zettler, Frank “Pat” Jr. (9 JUN 1913 - 30 OCT 2003)

Frank “Pat” Zettler Jr., 90, Athens, died Thursday, October 30, 2003 at Continental Manor Nursing Home, Abbotsford.

He was born June 9, 1913 in the town of Johnson, son of the late Frank Sr. and Josephine (Kautzer) Zettler. On June 1, 1935, he married Sophia Boris at St. John Catholic Church, Wuertzburg. She preceded him in death on November 23, 1981.

Pat was a farmer and carpenter until the time of his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, card playing, bowling, but most special to him was spending time with his family and grandchildren. Survivors include three daughters, Janet Komarek, Abbotsford, Irene Switlick, Athens and Joyce (Raymond) Schemenauer, Athens; two sons, Rusty Zettler, Mesa, Arizona and Glenn Zettler, Athens; 25 grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren.

Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Duane Zettler; seven grandchildren; five sisters and six brothers.

The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2003 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens. Rev. Charles Hiebl will preside. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Athens.

Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens and again from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until the time of service at the church. There will be a 7:00 p.m. vigil service Monday evening at the funeral home.
