Selvig, Sharon "Sherry" M. (Peer) (11 MAY 1952 - 6 FEB 2016)
Sharon "Sherry" M. Selvig, age 63, of Owen, passed away on Saturday, February 6,
2016 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at
St. John's Lutheran Church in Withee. The Rev. Tom Myhre will officiate.
Family and friends are welcome from 10:00 a.m. until time of service Saturday at
the church. The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen is entrusted with the
arrangements.
Sherry was born on May 11, 1952, the daughter of Alonzo and Marian (Sandve) Peer
in Cumberland, WI. She graduated from St. Croix Falls High School in 1970.
Sherry was united in marriage to Allan "Hebrew" Selvig on December 22, 1973 in
St. Croix Falls. She worked as a cook for Wayne's Cafe in Amery and Suzannes
Restaurant in New Richmond.
Sherry enjoyed gardening, flowers, bowling at the club 53, and baking. She
especially enjoyed baking "goodies" for her grandchildren. She loved and
cherished her family. She was a member of the Lublin American Legion Auxiliary
Unit 547.
Sherry is survived by her husband, Hebrew of Withee; her daughter, Leacia
(Brian) Ackerman of Owen; four grandchildren: Marcus, Cheryl, Elliot and Payton.
She is further survived by two brothers and one sister: Gary (Susette) Peer of
Centuria, Mary (Keven) Cassellius of St. Croix Falls and Terry (Diane) Peer of
Dresser; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials can be given to donor's choice.
