Gorden, Henry (12 AUG 1889 – 1 DEC 1957)
Henry Goeden was born at Neillsville on August 12, 1889, the son of the late Mr.
and Mrs. Nick Goeden.
Mr. Goeden, who was one of the survivors of the sinking of the Dustania in World
War I, passed away at the Veterans Hospital in Minneapolis on Sunday, December
1, 1957 at 8:47 a.m.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. from the Hill Funeral Home, Greenwood,
on Wednesday, December 4th. Rev. James Cooper, pastor of the Missionary Baptist
Church of Greenwood, officiated. Burial was made in the Lynn Cemetery.
He is survived by a nephew, Leland Church, and sister-in-law, Mrs. Julia Chubb,
Greenwood.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Mrs. Clarence Chubb, and a
nephew, Claude, Chubb, who passed away on November 26, 1957.
