Boardman, Altine Jeanette “Jan” (22 October 1921 - 2 February 2016)

Altine J. “Jan” Boardman, 94, of La Crosse, WI, died on Tuesday, February 2, 2016, at Bethany Riverside Nursing Home in La Crosse.

Altine Jeanette Johnson was born on October 11, 1921, to Julius and Alma (Rogstad) Johnson in La Crosse, WI. She was raised in Houston and graduated from Houston High School. On June 22, 1945, she was united in Marriage with Bill Boardman in Houston. Soon after marriage, Jan and Bill moved to Thorp, WI, where Jan worked at Foremost Dairy. Jan shared her love of music and talents with many piano and organ students. She was also the church organist for churches in Thorp. Jan and Bill enjoyed their winters in Florida for 20 years. Jan has lived in La Crosse, WI since 2003.

She is survived by her two daughters: LaVonne (Thomas) Greguska of Rochester, MN and Julie Boardman of Middleton, WI; four grandchildren; Tina (Tony) Kellicut, Lisa (Dr. Wolfgang) Singer, Lora (Ryan) Kesselhon, and Joshua (Lisa) Greguska.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

There was a funeral service for Jan at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2016, at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Houston with the Rev. Lisa Shank officiating. Burial was in the Stone Church Cemetery in Houston. Visitation was held one hour prior to the service at the church.
